ReWilding Conversations Episode 05:
What Are Your Students Telling You?
If you’re an educator, mentor, parent or coach who wants to impact lives by connecting people with nature… The first step is having your own sensory awareness open to what’s happening with the plants, trees, birds, etc.
The more you hone your own instincts and awareness, the more effective you’ll be at passing it on.
But then in step 2 your focus needs to expand again.
You need to also have your senses open to what the OTHER PEOPLE around you are offering… in terms of THEIR OWN awareness & engagement level.
What’s getting them excited?
What are they wanting to learn?
What gets them curious?
If you can notice when people are already engaged in nature from genuine curiosity… then you can lead them pretty much anywhere!
Your students will tell you everything you need in order to inspire, motivate, and get them to engage deeply with nature.
It’s all written in the body language, eye contact, and even the language your students use when they engage with nature.
So today we’re talking about applying your exquisite ninja observation skills as a powerful nature mentoring tool. Enjoy!
