Bird Language Stories – Bald Eagle On The Canal

American Crow

The bird language of crows can be heard from an incredibly long distance and their alarms are one of my favorite auditory cues that tell me about aerial predators at a distance.

I’ve used their vocalizations to find owls, hawks of many different types, turkey vultures, ospreys & various other crow-to-crow or crow-to-raven battles.

It’s always exciting to catch a scene of their aerial dogfights, so in this story I’m going to share an example of how I used crow alarms to spot a Bald Eagle from a ridiculously long distance.
