Bird nests have so many ripe lessons to give…
It’s the middle of July and the spring nesting season is wrapping up for another year (it’s now summer of course!)
But you know what?
I’m still finding quite a few nests around. There are still families being started and restarted.
I still routinely hear aerial predator alarms for the local crows when I’m out on my evening walk through the neighbourhood.
I witnessed a robin family in my yard get their nest pillaged twice, and a family of jays in the nearby trees lost their nest to a murder of crows.
The signs of nesting birds are everywhere. Are you tuned into them?
Unfortunately the answer for most people is a resounding NO. It’s a symptom of the modern disconnect from cycles & patterns of nature.
